HISTORY OF PHOENICIA
The Phoenicians lived in what is now modern Lebanon

For 600 years Carthage was a powerful city and major seaport
Carthage's navy was one of the largest in the Mediterranean
The famous general, Hannibal was from Carthage

Phoenicians excelled at working with glass and invented glass blowing
Phoenicians were renowned for their woods, metals, and construction

King Solomon asked the Phoenicians for help in building the Temple of Jerusalem

Phoenicians had extensive commerce with Egyptians and sold them the cedar resine used for mummification

For some reason, difficult to find phoenician names for girls, Googling mostly resulted in boys names.

Know any sites where I can find Phoenician names and their meanings for both genders?


(On a documentary I watched, I heard Phoenicians did not discover glas-blowing, they simple excelled at it.)
