Quick guide to Norse afterlives.
So most of you guys already know all this but I wanted to put it all in one place for anyone that doesn't know, this is just a quick guide might add more detail/info to it later. ^^
So first of all the obvious big three:
Valhalla.
The one everyone has heard of. Men only, unless you want to be serving the drinks, its a massive hall with shields for roof tiles and spears for rafters. A place for drinking and eating a lot and fighting a lot. You have to die in battle to get there of course, but only half the men that die in battle go here.
Folkvangr.
For the other half of the men that dye in battle and for honourable women too. Described as a

Areas of asgard and gods halls.
Place and areas of asgard:
Urðarbrunnr. "The well of fate." Home of the 3 norns and one of the three wells that feed a root of Yggdrasil. Called a lake in one text. Said the water there is so sacred if anything enters the water it turns pure white and says that's where swans got their whiteness.
Glaðsheimr."Home of Joy/bright home." the area of Asgard Odin lives in where the hall Valhalla is. Elsewhere described as a hall where the gods go to take council in Idavollr.
Iðavollr."splendour plain." Field where gods meet. Described as being where gods built their temples. Later is where Vidar and Vali return to after Ragnarok to

The ancient Scandinavians worshiped two types of gods:
The Aesir, which were mostly gods of war
The Vanir, which were mostly fertility.
For those of you who enjoy ancient history and mythology or who simply like to read the comic Thor, here are a list of the Aesir.
Note.
All of this has reminds me of GOD's First Commandment:
"You shall have no other gods before Me."
Ex 20:3
For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But the LORD made the heavens.
I Chronicles 16:26
"I am the LORD, and there is no other. There is no God besides Me."
Isaiah 45:5
"Look to ME and be saved, all you ends of the Earth!
For I am GOD and there is no other."
Isaiah 45:22
"I, even I, am the LORD, and beside Me there is no Savior."
Hosea 13:4
"You shall worship the LORD your GOD and HIM only you shall serve."
Matthew 4:10
I pray that we all remember that. And that we not get
so caught up in the study and art of false gods that we ignore the real One!
