HISTORY
Kenya has seen many different human migrations and ethnic groups.
The first inhabitants of Kenya were hunter-gatherer groups
Around 500 BC pastoralists migrated to Kenya from present-day Southern Sudan.
By the first millennium AD, Bantu speaking farmers settled the region.
The Bantu migration brought new developments in agriculture and iron working.
Arab traders began frequenting the Kenya coast around the 1st century AD.
Arab and Persian settlements were established along the coasts of Kenya, Tanzania and Mozambique by the 8th century.
This area came to be called the Swahili Coast.
From the 10th to 15th century the Swahili Coast was a major center of ironworking and trade with the Middle East, Asia and Europe.
The Swahili Coast was heavily involved in the trade of ivory and slaves.
European exploration of the interior didn't began until the 19th century.
Britain established the East Africa Protectorate in 1895.
In 1920 it was called the Kenya Colony.
Kenya became independent in 1963.

light inside
Forgive me my Lord,
Please forgive me and never leave me
Protect me to the end,be the light for my eyes
Be my path to the eternal Life!
When I can't cry,when I shouldn't show my tears
They anyway come down into the endless valley
and I cry inside
regreting my faults, searching someone by my side
Oh,how much I want to be under your wings
forever,my Lord!
Give me the strength to follow you to the very end
as the ways to you are horribly difficult;
and the thoughts of you are deep and mystical...
My God forgive me my sins, because I've never
done them on purpose,
Because I regret them everyday more and more
Because my tears are fal

I'm with God
I go into church..
I feel as if all distractions were gone..
As if my ADHD was cured.
Babies screaming to the right of me.
Mother hushes it..
I don't mind...
I'm glad she chose life..
The noise doesn't matter..
I'm with God.
Man coughing to the left of me.
He trys not to..
He says sorry for the disruption..
I say that I don't mind...
I'm with God.
I go to recieve the Eucharist.
The person handing it out says
The Body of Christ
I say Amen... I'm ready to recive the Eucharist
I have my hands out..
He sticks it right in my mouth..
A little awkward, but I don't care..
I'm with God.
Brother poking me, saying it's time to go.

Courage
True courage, is when you take a stand for reality,
and don't cover it up and try to hide it..
...pretending it's not there.
A soldier doesn't hide from the enemy,
knowing his life and country are at risk..
...needing to take life seriously.
A friend doesn't back down,
from taking a stand for others when needed...
