From May 18–21 there was a severe tornado outbreak in the Midwestern
United States and lower Great Plains area.
In Oklahoma, two tornadoes, caused damage in rural areas of eastern Oklahoma City
and killed two people.
On May 20th a large tornado devastated parts of Moore, Oklahoma.
24 people were killed, including 10 children.
377 others were injured.
Large areas of the city were completely destroyed.
1,500 buildings were destroyed
4,000 damaged.
An estimated 13,500 people have been directly affected
