Right now America is in deep trouble.

Our current president is condoning the act of taking innocent children of illegal Mexican immigrants, and locking them up in what resemble concentration camps. Some of these children have already died, whilst others are suffering severe trauma and abuse. Families are being separated by the American government, and the government is refusing to grant them asylum. Just because you come into a country illegally doesn't immediately make you a criminal. So they have no right to treat these people in such a barbaric manner. Let me say again, these are children we are talking about. Children!

Sexism and racism are still at large. And ever sense the election of the recent president, hate crimes against women and people of color have drastically increased. Racism and sexism, despite what people may think, is still prevalent in society today. I'm don't consider myself a feminist, but I think that treating women as if they don't deserve equal human dignity for being women is unacceptable. I also don't think it's okay for the police to shoot and kill an innocent black person when they haven't committed any serious crimes to warrant such. And yet somehow police brutality against people of color is justified?

What ever happened to "All men are created equal"? Also, whatever happened to "Love Thy Neighbor"? Someone please explain to me the necessity behind blatant discrimination, because I am dying to know.

The economy is also getting flushed down the drain, as is the government. In fact, not only is the United States currently in a trade war with China, but there has also been ANOTHER government shut down! Are you kidding me? And also, politicians in the government keep slandering each other just to maintain their reputations. Donald Trump also keeps spending money on his once-a-weekend golfing rather than donating his money to charities and public communities to benefit society. And you guys have no idea how much money it costs for Trump to get on an airplane to fly all the way down to Florida, and then immediately fly back up to Washington D.C. No wonder the government is losing money.

Lastly, oh we're saving the best for last... the gun problems. Like, children and teenagers can't even go to school anymore without risk of getting shot. And it's not just schools either. There is so much gun violence in the country, that every public place in every state may as well be at risk of a shooting. Every time a person goes shopping, they have to look over their shoulders constantly to see if anyone is carrying a gun on them. Nobody can feel safe when going out in public anymore, and the government isn't doing a thing about it! And it is so easily for people, even minors, to gain access to an assault rifle. I'm talking about guns that can kill 10 people in a room within seconds! These are weapons that should be used in the military, not in public by everyday citizens! And people just don't care. All they could care about is "The Right to Bear Arms," the words written on a document that was made 230 years ago!

I'm sorry, but why is a two and a half century old document more important than human life? Why is a flag, a stupid piece of fabric with stars and stripes on it, more important than human dignity? Why do we keep honoring the past instead of focusing on the now and building towards a better future?

So if anyone ever took the time to read this, here's what I have to say. If you are a believer in God, take the time the sit down and pray for the people of the United States, and pray for the hopeful improvement of American society.

If you are not a Christian and you read this comment, here's what you can do. Go on the internet, and if you can see what is wrong with American society, don't be afraid to speak out. Spread the word. Tell people what is wrong, and open up discussions on what can be done for improvement. How can we finally lower crime rates, as well as human discrimination? Which kind of politicians should we elect that are actually meant for the job? How can we fix the country?

I don't care if you're a Christian or an Atheist, you are all human, and you can work together to make a better world for our descendants. That's all we have to do. It won't be easy, and it won't happen overnight. But if enough discussions are made, and if enough effort is put, we can make a change.

(I'm sorry if I got a little "preachy" here. If anyone dislikes this comment, I will hide it so no one will have to see it. I know not everyone on the internet will agree with me, and I am willing to respect that.)
