   Oyo-Yoruba impatiently drummed his finger on the wooden table, taking note of all the little broken off pieces. Ruffling his fuzzy hair he mused to himself as he opened and closed the ayo board game. Sighing, he prepared to get up when he heard singing beyond the door. Sitting back down he let a smile reach his lips as his younger brother Egba came strolling in singing his anthem whilst holding a bundle of papers in his hand.

GH - Early Western Civilization IIOnce I saw a graffiti on a wall; it read "when in school, don't do as the students do".

It is clearly a modified copy from "When in Rome do as the Romans do". It can have two possibility meanings. Firstly; it invites to disobey the rules. But secondly; most of students don't pay attention in class already, so if you think about it for a bit longer, you can find out that the phrase is an opposition in itself - if you shouldn't act like a 'normal' student, then you should pay attention, which is what isn't often done.

His eyes were wide with fear and glinting with pain, his hands holding the bat turned into a knuckle, so tight it had turned white from under the crisp white bandages. His light blue eyes filled with tears as he backed off into the wall.
