Uhura slowly made her way towards the bridge. The Senior Staff had been released from the brig earlier that that morning and ordered to get ready for shift. They had each slunk off to their quarters, silent and broken, to clean up.
As she made her way through the bright corridors towards the bridge, she noticed the silence. As always there were plenty of crewmembers walking through the corridors, but none of them were talking except in quiet whispers, none seemed willing to meet each other's eyes and everyone cast a pall of guilt and shame.

It's been two weeks since the Saratoga has left Earth and eleven days since we've reached her first destination, the Hymer Cloud.

I've also been busy finding my feet as the new commander of this vessel. Maybe even as a Commanding officer period, which to be honest I haven't been for long. After all, I was only on the Enterprise fo

The Saratoga has spent the past twenty five days performing planetary studies on Ingri, which orbits a Type A white star. The planet was M class and smaller than Earth with low gravity and absolutely humongous lifeforms.
I landed the ship on the surface and turned our research vessel into a research base. That was something that I never did with the Enterprise in the short time I commanded her, but I definitely think I’ll be doing it a lot with the Saratoga. A small ship has its advantages. It definitely pleased a lot of the crew, especially Dr McCoy, who likes to keep his feet on solid ground

Above all I endured, long after the scandal had faded and the whispers had stopped, the crushing guilt and shame.
I endured and never once complained. After all it was nothing less than what I and the rest of the crew of the Enterprise deserved. We had betrayed the Hero who saved Earth. We had betrayed our Captain.
